On the afternoon of 13th September, The People’s Committee of Thai Binh City called for support for units directly involved in responding to storm No. 3. Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Van Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council.

In recent days, the city has been directly affected by storm No. 3, floods on the Tra Ly River and prolonged heavy rains, causing much damage to urban infrastructure and agricultural production. With the strong direction of the City Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, mobilizing the entire political system to participate; all levels, sectors, localities and units of the city have actively and proactively participated, made efforts and responsibilities to well perform the tasks of responding to storms and floods, ensuring the safety of dykes, protecting people’s lives and property. To support and encourage the forces, Daewoo E&C Vina Co., Ltd. and Green i-Park Joint Stock Company have supported 400 million VND (each company supported 200 million VND) for units directly performing the tasks of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the city.

The leaders of the City People’s Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the sentiments and support of businesses, adding strength to the forces to continue to deploy tasks of responding to and overcoming the consequences of storms, floods and heavy rains, quickly restoring production and stabilizing people’s lives. At the same time, we hope that businesses will continue to accompany the city in socio-economic development in the coming time.
