Daewoo E&C’s Overseas Real Estate Development Team, led by vice chairman Jung Won-joo of Jungheung Group, the builder’s parent group, visited Vietnam from June 18 to 23 to meet with high-level government officials and check business issues, the company announced on June 23.

Jung met with Vietnam’s Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham binh Minh to discus progress in the Star Lake City project in Hanoi and share opinions on the expansion of new investment.

In addition, Jung met with Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and disclosed Daewoo E&C’s plans to invest in various fields, including new town development projects, plant, civil engineering and architecture projects and equity investment in Vietnamese companies.

Jung also met with Acting Mayor of Hanoi Le Hong Son to request support for the acceleration of the Star Lake City project and cooperation with respect to the Daewoo E&C’s expansion of investment.

A Daewoo E&C official said Jung also visited Bac Ninh Province, located north of Hanoi, on June 21 to meet with the party secretary and discuss cooperation for business expansion.
